Wishlist

Less than two weeks, it's going to be my birthday. Yeah, another new age, hihi. Krishna asked me what present that I really want for my birthday. Or is there any wish list that I want. The truth is, I really don't know what I want for my birthday. I confused. I even don't have any wish list. :)

Maybe because we're going to move to our own house. And that can be my sweetest birthday present evah! Besides that, we planned to go on a vacation on my birthday. But apparently, we still have to focus for this moving. So, maybe we decided to postpone the plan. Kinda sad, but it's ok. Because we will be also still have another happy plan :)

Birthday means a lot to me. It makes myself more mature, secure, happy, smart, bless, and positive. When I was a kid, my parents used to spoiled me with so many presents. Barbies, clothes, roller skates, and celebrated my birthday almost every year. I'm a happy kid, haha.

But now, I don't really want the presents, even though I will still receive it if someones give me a presents (bless me). I just think that, maybe my wishes are going to be more privacy. Are going to be more intimate like 'Only God and I will know' the wishes. Secretly.

But in a meaning time, I also have a wish for the loved ones. I hope the people that I love, will always be healthy, happy, strong, long live and be bless by God. My parents, my husband, my parents in law, my sisters and brothers, my nephews and nieces, my best friends, my friends, will always be bless. Always.

Bless you, people! :)

Nice Illustrations

We all know that Taylor Swift is such a cutie pie! With her vintage style, long legs, beautiful eyes and a sweet attitude from her. I also really like her, escpecially her 1989 album. And she's also a very good singer, song writer and musician. Perfect combination! For me, she looks like a doll. A pretty doll.

But what if her style and face became an illustrations? I found this book about Taylor Swift Style Essentials, which I think is very good and real. The illustration itself drew by the talented illustrator Dinda Puspita Sari, who is also the illustrator for the book #88lovelife

The illustrations :

Even Taylor still looks pretty when she turned into an illustration. But Dinda also  very genius and talented to  make some beautiful things turned into more beautiful real things. Love it!

Celebrating Disorder

Last Saturday, My parents, Krishna and I went to Galeri Nasional to attended a paintings exhibition from one of my Dad's friend, Tatang Ramadhan Bouqie . The exhibition called "Celebrating Disorder". And I think this is the first time he had this painting exhibition. For your information, he used to be an illustrator for Media Indonesia news paper.

The first time I saw the paintings, I feel this colorfulness. But when I saw it with more specific, the paintings itself showed some chaotic and also problems in this world. There are corrupter, fake people, and an unfair things. Interesting!

My most favorite is the sculpture that showed a man sitting on the toilet like waiting. Meanwhile, they're so many books fell under him. It's like he don't care about anything. Don't care and won't care.

Om Tatang really showed some honesty in his paintings. I feel some madness, curiosity and upset about how this world is crazy and 'it's just not that right'.

Way to go.

Married to a musician?

I have an idea to write this post, after I read the blog from The Band Wife. It makes me laugh, because I was just thinking that some of my favorite bloggers, are also a band wife (you know when you have a husband who is a musician and also going on tour). You can see that Elsie from A Beautiful Mess is the wife from Jeremy Larson who is a producer, musician and have a band called Sucre and Violents. And also, blogger  Stacy King the singer from Sucre, is married with a musician name Darren King who is a drummer of the band Mutemath and Sucre. Confused, eh?

Well. it reminds me that I also have a husband who is a musician, haha. Krishna, my husband, is the keybordist / synthetizer from the band name The Upstairs. He joined The Upstairs since 2007. It was a long time ago before we met. For me, it's not a problem to have a husband who is a musician. (eventhough Krishna also working at some Phetrochemical company). To be honest, to be a wife musician is one of my dream! I always adore and admire a man who can play instruments, or at least he has a passion in music. So there, voila! I am marrying a musician. Proud with that.

Many people says that, married to musician or rockstar or whatever, will be jealous and whiney all the time. With the schedules and also with the fans (escpecially girl fans / groupies). Luckly, I'm not that jealous person. I mean, I know Krishna is working (with the friends), and his playing with his passion, he's tired, he's happy and he's missing his family and me. So, there's no reason to be jealous. Just give him some time. And trust him :)

The point is we have to respect each other, communicate each other and have some trust each other. Those are the keys. Just be yourself. Don't be a whiney wife. Always support him. And have something to do while he's going on tour. I'm sure all the band wives will be okay. And the important thing is, just remember that your husband will always loves you, eventhough he's far a way while he's going on tour :)

So, you want to be a band wife, huh? Just be then.

Lullaby with Lullatone

Here's once again, another band duo that I like lately. The first time I hear "Growing Up" from this band called Lullatone, it feels like someone's just lullabying me for a good sleep. The band based in Nagoya, Japan. And their music is more like simple, innocent, easy listening and childlike. This couple (the husband is from America, while the wife is from Japan), only plays instruments and sometimes with lyrics.

The reason why I like this band is, because their music feels cute. With some happy tempos and a touch of pianika and guitar. I'm sure you will also shake your head while hearing the beats.

And also, you can see that all of the songs have a unique titled, just like a story book :
  • The Biggest Pile Of Leaves You Have Ever Seen
  • An Awkward Dinner Conversations at The Family Gathering
  • Driving Home with The Towel on The Seat
  • Still Feeling The Waves When You Go To Bed
  • Grocery Shopping For a BBQ
  • Riding A Bike Down A Big Hill and Taking Your Feet Off
  • Finding A Leaf in Your Girlfriend's Hair
And many more. Such a unique titles!

You can also check the unique yet simple video from them, "Growing Up"

The Reading Room

Yesterday, I went to some cafe with the library themed name The Reading Room. "Best Place For Relax and Reading", yes I agreed with that! I really love the concept which has so many books available, and it looks like a library. The ambiance is nice and clean. We sat at the first floor, because the second floor were quiet full.

I ordered 'Makaroni Panggang' and 'Flavoured Peach Ice Tea' which I think were absolutely delicious! Krishna ordered 'Nasi Goreng Ikan Teri' and 'Ginger Hot Tea', and I think were also good. Our tummy were happy with those foods, haha.

The place is quiet big with so many tables, chairs and also sofas. I'm sure that's the reason why people really loves to hang out and relax there. Air conditioner and wifi are also available.

As a book lover, I really enjoyed being there. I love it so much! I think it will be one of my favorite hang out place if I'm bored to go to the mall. :)
