Come On Eileen - Save Ferris

Once, this band was soooo happening! I love Ska, and Save Ferris is one of the best ska band that I like. The singer, Monique Powell, has an amazing voice. This band really knows how to play an old 60's ska songs. Come On Eileen is one of my favorite track. Because the music is fun, and the video is so colorfull. Bring back the high scholl memories :)

Digital Love - Daft Punk

I love this song and also the video. This band always makes a cartoon video, which I think it's unique. Lately, I love to hear this song again. I just love it. That's all :)

I love gig!

Berhubung musik merupakan sesuatu yang sangat saya cintai dan jiwai didalam hidup saya, maka untuk hadir di acara-acara musik seperti konser atau hanya sekedar live music kecil-kecilan pun akan sangat saya hargai. Contohnya tadi malam. Setelah sekian lama saya tidak datang ke acara musik / gig di sebuah cafe (terakhir adalah sekitar 2 tahun lalu, saat saya masih bekerja di majalah dan mengurus acara musik), tadi malah akhirnya saya datang ke Marley untuk melihat gig 'Family Tree Live, The Upstairs'. Acara ini cukup unik, karena band-band yang mengisi acara, hampir semua personilnya adalah orang-orang yang pernah / masih bergabung diband The Upstairs. BITE, band yang beranggotakan 4 orang ini, merupakan band yang vokalisnya adalah mantan backing vokal The Upstairs, dan gitarisnya merupakan mantan keyboardis pertama The Upstairs. Band ini membawakan aliran Rock Atlternative. Kemudian ada Sentimental Moods, band ska yang sangat menyenangkan untuk didengar dan dibawa berdansa musiknya ini, merupakan bandnya sang drummer The Upstairs. Sepanjang malam saya mendengar mereka, sepanjang malam saya bergoyang mengikuti irama. Setelah itu ada Indische Party, band yang beranggotakan 4 orang lelaki ini, digawangi oleh gitarisnya The Upstairs. Mereka membawakan jenis musik Rock n Roll, yang menurut saya juga enak untuk  dibawa goyang mengikuti irama musiknya. Setelah itu ada Visco, band yang  membawakan jenis musik new wave dan electro pop ini, beranggotakan 2 orang saja. Satu orang gitaris dan satu orang keyboard / synthesizer, namun serasa banyak sekali suara yang dimunculkan. Aksi panggungnya unik, karena para personil menggunakan topeng dan kacamata glow in the dark. Seru! Dan yang terakhir adalah, Morfem. Yaitu band  lain dari vokalis The Upstairs, Jimi Multhazam. Aliran musik mereka lebih ke pop dan punk rock. Yang membuat suasana seru adalah, tadi malam mereka membawakan salah satu lagunya Black Sabbath, namun ditampilkan dengan bagus sesuai gaya bermusik mereka.

Acara yang berakhir pada pukul 00.30 ini menurut saya keseluruhan cukup bagus. Semua band yang tampil pada malam itu benar-benar menyuguhkan jenis aliran musik yang berbeda dan gaya atau ciri khas mereka yang berbeda pula. Hampir semua band tampil maksimal. Dan semua penonton pun menurut saya cukup puas. Saya rasa dengan adanya acara / gig seperti ini, dapat menciptakan komunitas baru yang memang benar-benar mencintai dan menghargai band indie / band lokal yang pada dasarnya sangat bagus dan patut disenangi.

Sensitivity

Have you ever felt that you can feel what everybodys feel? It's like you know what's on their mind, and what's with them. Are they sad, happy, or confused. Well, lately, it seems I really can feel and have a strong emphaty to the people around me. Sometimes I just asked them "Are you okay?". I guess it's nice If we can feel and have an emphaty to someone. Even just a little bit. Am I right?

This song is from 2009 I guess. But I just love it to hear it again lately. I always like seeing a girl with a guitar,  has a great voice. And I think Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp really has it.

I like this video and the lyric. I think Hayley Williams is a very charming woman. She has so much energy and always be herself. Paramore is also a very great band. I like them!

Hello and how are you?

Hey people, it's been a long time since I haven't write my blog. Well, there's so many reasons why I haven't write again. Because I'm a little bit busy this month, and...my computer was kinda broken. I cannot upload photos in this posting. Weird, eh?

Btw, I have lots of postings to come. So enjoy it. And I hope you guys not bored to read it.
